*Junior Membership (Ages 14-17) : $60/year
Associate Membership (Ages 18+) : $120/year

*Junior members are required to have a sponsor. A sponsor is someone who is already has an Active Membership. Associate Members will become Active Members after a vote by our Board of Directors following a 6-month probationary period.

To be considered for Junior or Associate Membership, the prospective member must:

1. The prospective member should attend at least (2) work sessions to become familiar with the operations of DUSMRE and its active members.

2. The prospective member should exhibit reliable transportation to and from the club.

3. The prospective member should have basic knowledge of DCC operations.

4. The prospective member should express interest in more than just operating model trains.

5. The prospective member (for junior membership) should yield a sponsor that is willing to maintain all responsibility for the junior member and will be monitoring the junior member during any visits to the club.

6. The prospective member should attend (1) board meeting.

7. The prospective member should attend (1) operating session. They will be allowed to operate only specific club equipment if they do not have their own.

8. Any prospective member who is solely applying for membership to sponsor a junior member may be subject to this vetting policy.

9. Any prospective member that is a previous active or junior member may be exempt from the vetting policy and procedure at the discretion of the board of directors.

10. This procedure does not need to be completed in listed order.
